Thanks for raising your concerns about the roadmap, always great to hear some feedback on what we've got planned. Let me cover your two points separately:
Fewer tasks for pilots
Yeah, we absolutely don't want to reduce the number of tasks pilots have. The core of Mike Force is the collaboration between classic infantry, basebuilders, armour and air.
The aim here isn't for us to reduce the amount of air gameplay, but instead to prevent CAS and attack aircraft dominating in zones. It's a common problem that too many attack aircraft leave little for the ground units to do, as most of the incoming enemies are thinned out long before they reach their destination.
What we'll be doing is making it so air needs to coordinate more with ground infantry, in order to be effective at their role, while also increasing the amount of things that air can do on the logistics side!
The reason you'll be seeing fewer units is the mission scales the unit count to the number of online players. Fewer players = fewer units. Unfortunately, many of our servers have been quieter than they were on release, so the result is that it feels like there are fewer enemies.
Rest assured we're not reducing the number of enemies, we're actually looking into ways we can increase them for heavily populated servers! 🙂
