I adore the SOGPF CDLC! It's amazing, but some things I would like to see for more options in operations is more available Civilian vehicles, I have seen some of them around the map and I was surprised that there wasn't a drivable version but for Saigon and other areas I think it would be interesting to give the civ pop in more urbanised areas transport.
Aside from that I do not know what the mission plan is moving forward but if possible I'd love to see more Colombia Team CO-OP missions as they are all so detailed and intense I just kept coming back with more and more friends to show it off.

Congrats to everyone who worked on SOGPF, you are amazing and very skilled and for sure deserve a pat on the back (At least), keep up the great work!

I wrote about this in the Prairie Fire discord but they said this was the better place to post ->

the MC-10 has an inaccurately sized suppressor, it is about half the size it should be. I also believe 'M-10' would be a better name than MC-10.

I also think the Escape mission could be improved by removing the friendly AI, and maybe putting players who just connected into VC prison camps who have to escape or be freed by the main team, instead of just respawning over again.

An Uzi would be nice, an OV-10 would be even nicer. And a civilian car.

A (multiplayer) riverine mission, and maybe a PBR to go with it.

Really just more mp missions in general, especially pvp. the only pvp servers seem to be koth which gets old too fast.

I think a few people have said it, but I'd like to see USMC character skins or AI. Maybe Force Recon if possible. Would like a Spooky or Specter gunship. Only other thing i wanted i covered in another post.

Brown Water Navy definitely needs some love. While others have mentioned some great additions, the majority of them are already available in Unsung and other mods (admittedly some could use some upgrading). But River Monitors, Tango Boats, and Charlie Boats aren't available anywhere. The PACV could be a fun addition too, and a barge so we can build mobile riverine bases.

Maybe an OV10 or OV1 etc configured as a drone so players can do a VR of their target areas or use it to coordinate CAS. I like using ACE with Simplex Support Services and in that you can use drones via the interact menu. It would be nice if I could implement a covey as that role.

Probably already mentioned but i'm not looking through 11 pages of comments to find it but remove the dirt on the M-72 LAW's sight because numbers and crosshairs are small and hard enough to read as is on top of having that dirt on the sights. There's no reason to have it there other then eye candy and in the field an operator would wipe the dirt of the lens before aiming/firing.

Not sure if they've been suggested yet and they may not fit the time period of Prairie Fire, but the Piasecki H-21 would be kinda cool to see.

Granted, it would be less useful than the Hueys (in Vietnam, they could only carry about 9 combat-arms personnel due to issues with the engines in the hot climate) and may not fit the time period, having been retired in 1967, but could be quite cool to have in order to emulate the earlier phases of the War.

Not sure if the Gunship variants with rocket pods and/or 50 cals on flex mounts deployed to Vietnam but if they did, those could also be quite interesting to see.

Hookups on air assets for STABO device use in Bright Light extract. I've noticed some clips on the back of some of the vests. I'm assuming this is what those were for. Would be really cool to be able to airlift troops with ropes. We can hook up crates. We should be able to hook up people stranded when theyre in the s*&t.

Hi Team,

first of all, thanks for that awesome CDLC. I love it.

But... of course I would like to make a suggestion:

Reduce armed CAS on full player server.

For example: We are 32 players and basically 26 are in the FOB and we have 6 players flying armed bombers, apache-choppers or armed hueys...

These 6 players bomb the shit out of the enemy and the map by flying high frequency raids... usually killing lots of friendlies too.

But I am not complaining about friendly fire... but with so many CAS we hat 6 players in the stats... with over 300 kills each... and the rest... had almost nothing. We didn't even see an enemy.

What I would like to suggest:
When 24+ players on the map, disable the F4 Bomber...
when 28+ players disable the Apaches..
when full... only allow 1 armed CAS. 30 players are enough to get rid of all VC.

Alternative could be to extend the reload times. It looks like it costs nothing to bomb the shit out of a lonely VC. reloading and refueling are unlimited. Make it more "expensive" to fly. Pilots get one loadout per 15 minutes... so that they have to select their targets more carefully.

The current campaign missions are great, but they are "on rails shooter" material.

It would be nice to have a campaign where stealth, surprise and sneakery could be a valid factor.

Examples:

the dynamic patrols evident around the bunkers in Oscar Eight. I have teleported to get out from under a swarm of AI in oscar eight, and then watched them autogenerate waypoints on my new position.
Ditto for the trackers on ashtray. No matter where you go, they autogenerate and come for you. this is fine, but they come at a run, and when the module escalates, the patrols do the same things as we see in Oscar Eight.

So no matter what you do, you will get rumbled and the whole thing becomes a desparate firefight, which is fun, but not what SOG was about. More sneaking please!

This would mean less "homing" behaviour from the AI, slower tracker following (so you dont have to run to stay ahead of them), and downplaying the mechanic where the AI always know where youre vicinity is - Its coll they spawn and go near you, but feels silly when youre playing a night mission and they all end upstanding right on top of you for no reason, until one of them trips over you.

Thompson m1 would be a nice addition especially for ARVN if they are planning on putting it in play and if I'm not mistaken NVA and VC have it.
