As an avid, regular user of this DLC and of UNSUNG who tries to find any excuse to make use of these wonderfully crafted assets whenever possible, I firstly would like to thank the team for the brilliant work they put into making this.
I continue to follow Prairie Fire's development and hope to see more of it in the coming years. These are a couple of assets I'd like to see. Some of them are already in UNSUNG, but could benefit greatly from an update. Others are just wish fulfilment.
Aircraft:
- A-4C Skyhawk
An iconic Navy and Marine Corps attack jet, also used by the Australian Navy and New Zealand Air Force. Makes for a better, more dedicated CAS asset than the F-4 and has a surprisingly large payload capability, going all the way up to carrying tactical nuclear ordnance. US Navy Skyhawks were among the first aircraft to drop bombs on Vietnam during Operation Pierce Arrow, immediately after the Tonkin Gulf incident.
- OV-10 Bronco
See above, but with propellers, and no nuclear capability.
- H-21 Shawnee / CH-37 Mojave / CH-47 Chinook / CH-46 Sea Knight / CH-53 Sea Stallion
I'd like to second Cyberducky42's request above. Any of the bigger helicopters would be interesting to see, not just to supplement the Huey in logistics operations, but also for the sake of variety.
C-47 Skytrain / C-46 Commando / C-119 Flying Boxcar
For more heavy-duty logistics operations, paradropping supplies, missions involving a parachute insert, Air America shenanigans and even as an option for civilian air traffic, any of the above would be neat to see.
The C-47 needs no introduction. It did the same job over Vietnam that it did over Europe along with being the first proper gunship in the form of the AC-47.
The C-46 was used by the USAF and almost every US-aligned faction, as well as the PLAAF. While not as universal as the C-47, the C-46 possesses a higher cargo capacity and would make a unique and recognisable asset.
The C-119 is the largest and least flexible asset of these three, with only the US and France operating them over Vietnam. It did however also get a gunship conversion in the form of the AC-119G Shadow.
Ground vehicles:
- Rebuild of the M41A1.
I've heard that this has been pointed out elsewhere before, but the model of the M41 has some oddities in terms of proportions. It is otherwise a great asset, and I will admit that this feels to me like a rather petty request considering the work that goes into all of these assets, but the wonky proportions on the turret are difficult to ignore, especially when every other asset is practically perfect.
- Type 63 APC
For providing PAVN and PRAC with an equivalent armoured transport counterpart to the M113.
- Centurion Mk.5
A unique armoured asset for the Commonwealth factions to provide some heavier firepower than the M113's can offer.
