From September 2022 until May 2023 you can visit the Imperial War Museums thought-provoking War Games exhibit
Entry to the museum is free too!
SOG Prairie Fire developers Rob (eggbeast) and Noah (Barden) took the opportunity to visit there this month, as Barden was passing through the UK on his way back to Australia. Rob commented: "We have worked together on Unsung mod and then SOGPF DLC, for what must be 8 years or more but never met in person. So it was really cool to meet and to see our creation on display in one of the worlds most prestigious war museums."
"It was really cool to see Arma 3 on the opposite pillar to Call of Duty - holding it's rightful place alongside the worlds most famous FPS title." said Rob, the DLC project director, "I don't think the IWM has featured MACV SOG there in any capacity before now, so this was a first, although sneaked in on the back of a video game. We have been talking to the curator since, to see if we can support any kind of future SOG display."
While Barden was here in the UK, the pair took a trip down to the world famous Bovington Tank Museum
"It was really great to be able to get up close to some of these fantastic assets," said Barden, who is responsible for specifying new vehicle models for the SOG DLC, "although of course you always need to check many sources for each asset!"
So, if you're in London, be sure to visit the War Games exhibition and post your pics up.
Watch this space for the next SOG Prairie Fire update (v1.3) coming to Steam in 2023!
