The mod can be loaded together with the creators DLC. You should see much less duplicate weaponry and equipment and have Unsung Redux units and vehicles use weaponry and equipment found in S.O.G. Prairie Fire. Also a lot of the old maps won't be transferred to Unsung Redux, reducing the overall mod size considerably.
I do not know yet how the Unsung Redux mod will be shown in the multiplayer server browser. I have setup a3server.tetet.de 3402 for testing this, though.

It's the same with any other mod, when you edit your mission with the mod loaded, Unsung Redux will most likely be required in the mission.sqm. If you create S.O.G. Prairie Fire based missions solely, you should be able to play them with Unsung Redux enabled or disabled.
