SOG Charity Jungle Run - 24-25 September
Download the schedule as PDF:
You are invited to a 24 hour charity fundraising event promoted by Savage Game Design, the studio that created Arma 3 Creator DLC S.O.G. Prairie Fire, working closely with US MACV SOG Special Forces veterans and some awesome Arma 3 community content creators.
It will feature a full Prairie Fire campaign run-through as well as playing Mike Force on the all-new Khe Sanh terrain before it’s official release.
Get ready to watch 24 hours of SOG jungle carnage, and all in a good cause!
We are asking you to help us raise funds to support the outreach work of Military and Veteran Gamers (MVG),
an amazing charity which works to bring together veterans and serving military of all ages through online gaming to share peer-to-peer support.
MVG has a mental health team and funds gaming computers for members so they can join in.
Col. Dick Thompson (MACV SOG and SOCOM legend) has designed a stress resilience tool (called ARSENAL) at High Performing Systems (HPS) which can really help veterans improve their wellbeing. Our goal is to fund veterans access to this excellent tool and support through supporting MVG’s online outreach program.
During the Jungle Run event, content creators and players will undergo up to 24 hours of intense online combat, to emulate some of the more routine stresses our veterans endure.
You can take part in 4 live discussions with US veterans who served with MACV SOG in Vietnam, members of MVG and HPS, and the S.O.G. Prairie Fire development team.
This is a unique opportunity for players to ask questions and hear the experiences of some of the most legendary Special Forces soldiers alive today, and maybe improve your own stress resilience at the same time!
Any veterans who are interested to take Dick’s unique ARSENAL survey are welcome to contact MVG directly on their discord site at discord.gg/military
