To all Prairie Fire players!
We hope you're all having a great summer! People - including the Prairie Fire devs - are of course now enjoying vacations, and taking advantage of lifted Covid restrictions. You will probably recognize the need to be outside and away from your PC in the hot weather!
The joy of Arma is it's a long-term relationship and not just a summer romance! With about 7m Arma 3 owners and about 1m new ones in the past 12 months we have high hopes for our DLC player base to continue to snowball and we intend to have new toys available for the new grunts heading to Nam over the summer.

1. DLC News
It took a while but the IT migration is finished and the studio is running at peak performance again. Our IT and Game mode teams have been expanded to be able to put renewed energy into game mode development. The artists are spitting out a steady stream of eye candy during their weekly check in. The veteran, military and historical advisors eagerly feed back improvements. A part of the content that is being developed for the encore update is already reaching gold stage in the capable hands of the encoders. We can't say what's coming but we're sure you'll enjoy it.

The Masks We Wear - A podcast on SF Veteran mental health
General Bowra recommended this article to us: Senior Green Berets debunk mental health rumors, fight stigma in podcast series. "The Army’s special operations community has borne the brunt of twenty years of war, training and deploying at what a then-senior commander called an “unsustainable” pace. That has led to destructive effects on the mental health of many soldiers, according to two senior special forces NCOs who discussed the topic in a podcast released Wednesday by 1st Special Forces Command." The podcast has since aired and can be listened to below.

6. Highlighted Mods
NightIntruder'& TeTeT's Aircraft Carrier
NightIntruder and TeTeT modded in the USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA31) - Carrier's Strike Group with the main purpose of providing ARMA3 players with access to an aircraft carrier and its supporting ships from the mid-Cold War (and the Vietnam War) era. It's a great asset you can use to launch F-4B's from the Gulf of Tonkin. NightIntruder also uploaded a video explaining the special features of the mod (featuring Unsung assets.) You can find the mod on the workshop here!
