To all Prairie Fire players!
You might have noticed that this newsletter hasn't been quite weekly anymore! We found that not every week has the news value required to make one of these posts. So instead here is a packed review of the whole of June. Grab a cold drink, kick back and enjoy! As always if you have any comment, question or suggestion for the news we love to hear from you!

To unite fraternally veterans of all branches of the United States Armed Forces who, since the beginning of World War II, have conducted or supported “Special Operations”.
To commemorate fittingly the memory of all those who have given their lives in defense of the Free World and to those who served in Special Operations units and are still unaccounted for as POW/MIA.
To promote patriotism throughout the communities of the country.
To educate its members and the citizens of the United States in the proper development of Special Operations, and to keep abreast of new developments in the field of Special Operations as is consistent with security regulations.
To encourage every member of the Association toward a closer personal relationship and a friendly spirit of mutual cooperation.
To foster and promote the general welfare and prosperity of the Members, and to improve by all lawful means their status and condition.
To be a source of inspiration for all Special Operations Units now and in the future.

20 Years of Arma
A bunch of the team gathered in the Recon Bar on discord to watch the 20 Years of Arma stream! That was a nice trip down memory lane and we were thrilled to hear Bohemia CEO Marek Španěl say: "Prairie Fire is an incredible creation for Arma 3, heads up to the entire team who made it happen, and I think it really made my year so far."
Those of you that watched the stream will also have noticed community member @Panduhh standing in front of a Green Hornets UH-1. This triggered the following conversation with Viper1Zero on twitter. It's a small thing of course but it feels amazing that we are helping to trigger people in some way to have an extra look at this part of history!
First community screenshot compilation
At the end of May we published Community Screenshot Compilation #1 composed by @Sapien82 with screenshots by our amazing community members! If you like to have your screenshots featured in a future compilation feel free to post your art on the forum https://community.sogpf.com/threads/201-Community-screenshots-gallery or tag us on twitter, our handle is @savagegamedes !
Artist Portfolios
Following the release of the DLC and the shroud of secrecy lifted our artists have started to place their models in their portfolios on Artstation. It is a great place to have a more detailed look at the models: https://www.artstation.com/explorabbit/collections/1313300
Development
Besides taking some post-crunch rest we have been focussing on revising workflows and designing new assets this month. A bunch of new assets now entered the production phase. With our revised quality assurance workflow we have triaged all of the Feedback Tracker tickets and are working on fixes for the next patch now. A big thanks to all the FT contributors for your time to provide us with your detailed feedback!
If you want to provide us with a bug report or feedback you can file a ticket here: https://feedback.bistudio.com/maniphest/task/edit/form/32/
CSLA
CSLA Studio, who is a fellow developer in the Creator DLC program, released the CSLA Iron Curtain DLC this month. We congratulate them on the release and wish them luck and strength with the challenges that accompanied it.

Documentary about Richard Fitts
During the memorial weekend "21 Years - A Folded Flag" a documentary about SOG SSGT. Richard Fitts aired for the first time.
21 Years a Folded Flag is a son’s desire to tell the story of his father’s legacy, and by extension ensure that those who served during the Vietnam War are not forgotten. It is our desire that any Vietnam Veteran who is watching this will come away with a feeling that we honor your service and we appreciate the sacrifices you and those who served with you made for our country. The film starts at
The documentary starts about 30 minutes into the video after the testimonies of many veterans and our own Rob Graham. Great job Oscar Mike radio!

- Mike Force News
By Rob - 29 June 2021
There are rumblings in the hills...
Spoffy has been tied up sorting out our main build pipeline and IT setup for the past month, which is why we've not been able to do much to update Mike Force yet.
Thankfully this week we are making final setups and migrations, and we can once more focus on our beloved game mode.
2 new programmers have joined the Mike Force team this week to support Spoffy, so we should begin to see some changes coming soon.
Our Mike Force test team is reassembling this weekend after about 4 weeks off - everyone was exhausted after the intense sprint (lasting about 5 months) before our release - so we will begin testing and smashing tickets again.
We are triaging tickets and will be putting together a roadmap for future Mike Force development.
We're going to be looking for server admins and testers to step up from the community (but not yet) - so watch this space - we'll likely reach out to people and groups we know first.
Thank you all for being patient so far, and for all the tickets you have submitted!
