It’s pretty typical for us to have a bbq, though nothing over the top and not a shit show of drinking and partying like other holidays, as I kind of find that in bad taste. I’ll have a couple stiff drinks though
And have a toast for those gone.
I also try and visit the graves of family and friends who were vets, even if they didnt die while in service to our country. I still think it’s relevant to “memorialize them”.
In years past, I would also sometimes go on a camping trip and go shooting with my brothers and some friends, but with the current situation in the US (covid, political nonsense and ammo prices being astronomically inflated), did not do this the past year and dont plan on it this weekend.
