Question about vehicle/aircraft field repairs

I have engineer training and a wrench secondary (if the wrench even matters), and have a toolkit in inventory. I’m also in green hornets if that matters.

I am able to repair a helos red systems up to orange, but the engine still won’t start.

Is there something I’m missing to be able to repair the damaged helo further so that the engine will start?

Is it out of fuel? If you take that much damage to the engine there's a pretty good chance you'll also have a fuel leak.

Oof that’s entirely possible. Ill check closer next time. If that’s the case, is there a way to store fuel cans or something in the helo or can it be fueled only fuel trucks?

Nothing that I'm aware of, you'd need to get a fuel truck there or otherwise lift the heli back to base (or destroy it and lift the container).
