After running Mike Force on a server for the first time some things revealed themselves that sours the game mode. My main issues are:
Number of slots per team, it would be a good option for the server administrators to be able to determine the number of slots available for a team, for instance having unlimited pilot roles ensured that the infantry on the ground got limited action. As much as I would like to encourage people to not dominate the AOs so that each team's role can shine in their own right, limiting certain slots could easily achieve this.
Vehicle recovery system, in theory this works and I've experienced similar systems in other mission files and it works when there's accountability for a destroyed vehicle. However in a public server there is less of a sense of responsibility and accountability among players. People can destroy a vehicle and go, oh well, and not bother with it. I appreciate this system and it has its role in some communities, but from my experience it just resulted in one player (me) having to go out of their way to recover every vehicle destroyed in shitty locations. If there was a switch to just resort to a simple respawn system I would hit that in an instant.
Ranking system, it would be cool if the ranking system restricted whether certain groups could be joined. Again, this could be a togglable switch, but it would stop new players hopping on the server and recklessly destroying vehicles.
