An iconic SOG submachinegun - key part of most recon teams. Personally I love all the variants in the game - especially the camo painted ones. They even feature slings with no metal parts in order to maintain noise discipline.

Cool! RT Columbia ingame had one team member in the past carrying a CAR-15 short stock. Until I got a smack in the head from one of the advisors that was. He told me if I'm not mistaken that short stocks were mainly used by pilots so they could easily fit it somewhere in the cockpit.

Any opinions on favourite variants?

Are you talking about the variant with the shortened barrel or the one with the solid M16 stock?

On this note though Maarten, there were some short barrel Carbines used by SOG, but not the short barrel ones that we have in game.

The "usual" ones we use in game are the XM-177E2A model, with the extended flash hider that makes the weapon sound more AK-like, and also has the lug to mount the M-203 grenade launcher (not the XM-148 we have in game).

The short barrel one that is not in game is the XM-177E1 model, like in the attachment below. This model of Carbine was also used by SOG, likely before the XM-177E2A version was fielded.

The xm177e2 in game has a wrong m16a2 front pivot pin reinforcement. When the xm148 grenade launcher is mounted It should have only the top Handguards without the lower half. Next thing is wrong buffer tube Lock Ring. Maybe someone can correct that?

Is there any chance the model can get updated with a muzzle proxy so that people can write config file mods to add muzzle devices to it? like a gordon carbine style thing?
