Introduction
Delta Platoon was created by Eggbeast (Unsung mod's lead dev/cdlc dev) and fellow developers/beta testers as a way to play the mod together, 1st Platoon (formerly Delta Platoon) then expanded that idea to include the general public. 1st Platoon takes part in various campaigns of the Vietnam era from 1965 to 1975 and consists of three infantry squads: Spartan, Viking, Vandal, a recon team, a 60mm mortar team - Apache and a flight element - Eagle. Each campaign we do is 12-13 weeks long with a different 'theme' for each new dynamic campaign, rotating between Air Cav, Army, Marines, Airborne, Armored, Special Forces and even Vietnamese. We use the TFAR Beta mod for communication, the ACE targeting system for mortar/arty support and the CDLC revive system utilizing medevac's for critically injured.
We have our orientation course for new members joining the group on Saturdays and our large campaign operations (over 50 players) every Sunday at 11:00 am US eastern/4:00 pm British standard time.
Minimum age limit 15+, we have players who are veterans of various wars including Vietnam as well as many UNSUNG/CDLC beta testers.
Attendance is never mandatory with us after the initial orientation and we allow multi-clanning as well.
The S.O.G. Prairie Fire CDLC is a requirement to be a member in our clan, however we still use the UNSUNG mod in conjunction.
We also have a 24/7 SOG Prairie Fire Antistasi server for our members to play whenever they want outside of ops/training times.
